Jill’s computer starts speaking during Professor L’s class: “CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’VE WON!”
The entire class laughs.
Professor L: “I won’t even try to exercise discipline, because the embarrassment is enough. HOW EMBARRASSING!”
Jill: “Sorry…I had to buy these tickets…and…”
Professor L: “And apparently you’ve won something! I’m sure you’re not the only one who has done such a thing in class, you’re just the only one who has done it with the volume on!”
I have come close to being ‘that girl’
I became “that girl” when my “forgot I shoved it in my bra” ipod turned on and you could hear the music blasting from the tiny speakers three rows back… and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where the hell the sound was coming from after I ripped out the batteries in my laptop and blackberry… while the prof and the rest of the class were looking at me scrambling like a mad woman…
Oh no! Haha. But you’re probably compensating for that now by being extra-cautious and non-distracting!
